Hello and welcome back to FanPost Friday. If you recognized any of the phrases in the title and dek of this piece, you already know what’s happening. For the rest of us who didn’t spend the early 2000’s on Something Awful dot com, one of the strangest and most wildly inappropriate corners of the internet and a massive influence on the Web 2.0 era of humor and memes, Photoshop Phriday was a long-running tradition on the forum (again, forums were something also known “message boards” that pre-dated social media as places where nerds posted about niche subjects online, similar to what became the comment section here at LL over the years) where each week there was a new theme like “ruin a breakfast cereal” or “movie posters from hell” and members would submit the worst shit you’ve ever seen and then the mods would select the best 15 or so for a blog post on the main site.
So, today I’m borrowing that ancient internet tradition because I saw this photo of Julio Rodríguez last week and immediately saw the potential:
