As spring training ends, we look to the Mariners’ near future
So the time has come again, as spring training draws to a close we eagerly look towards the season ahead and begin to raise our hopes. A new season offers new promise, new expectations, new highs and new lows. Where will this season take us? To the ever-elusive World Series? We can only hope that the boys in Navy Blue and Northwest Green can pull through.
Last week, we asked you all some more innocuous questions due to a lack of inspiration from yours truly. Despite that I still found the results quite interesting, starting with the updated value meal menu:

As some of you may know from my game recap a few years ago, I live in Oakland, so I really have no reference for if the menu is good or how long it’s been around. As much as I would love to get to a game, my only chance these days is if the M’s come to San Francisco. I’m certainly not gonna make the pilgrimage to Sacramento. Anyway, yeah, it seems people are really into hot dogs, which is understandable. The only time I have hot dogs are barbecues and baseball games. Gotta get a dog if you’re at the game.
We also wanted to know who had the best baseball names. There were some good submissions, but there was a clear winner:

Mastrobuoni clearly jerked the fanbase in one direction; an overwhelming amount of people selected Miles with just a stroke of the keyboard. Feel free to contribute your own jokes in the comments.
As we approach the start of the season, consider the survey below. Where will the Mariners end up this season, and who will be the Mariners’ MVP?
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Mariners fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
