The juices are not in fact flowing
Welcome back to another week of Mariners Reacts. I’m going to keep it real with you, reader. There’s only so much to write about during spring training. Still, the publisher people demand I create one of these a week, so here I am, back by popular demand!
Last week, we worried ourselves sick about roster cuts, blowouts ( like getting blown out in a game, not the 80s hairstyle), and who the opening-day starter would be. We asked around and you told us what you thought!
In terms of opening day starter, the results were a little surprising:

Particularly shocking was George Kirby coming in at 5%. I know George had a rough season and seems unwilling to change from his current strategy, but have people gone from touting him as a future Cy Young winner to not even wanting him as the Opening Day starter? Please explain your vote below. (Also, “other” voters – please explain yourselves, as well!)
We also wanted to know your thoughts on the White Sox total destruction of the Mariners, the results were predictable.

Most people were not worried, which, of course, why would you be? Still, 21% of you were scared or sure the season was over, and you are the Mariners fans I know and love. If you ask me, there’s been a little too much hope going around this blog these days. I need to see some gloom and doom. Tell me your most depressing Mariners takes for this coming season in the comments.
Finally, we asked about who was at risk of missing the roster, where I made a mistake in the poll that probably skewed the votes. Yes, I wrote Ryan Handcock instead of Emerson Hancock. Most everyone noticed right away and ridiculed me in the comments. But my bruised ego has only been temporarily set back! See the results below:

Like I said, it’s likely skewed, but if that’s really how you feel, let us know in the comments below! And if you’re a Bliss believer like me, tell the other writers in the comments because they are mega haters.
Anyway, see the survey below and let us know what you think! This week, let’s talk value menu and baseball names.
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Mariners fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
