In Mariners news…
- Adam Jude at The Seattle Times reports that the Mariners have in fact had talks with the Phillies about third baseman Alec Bohm, but that those discussions stalled when Philadelphia demanded the Mariners send one of Logan Gilbert and George Kirby in the return package. The club has also reportedly been in talks with the Cubs about second baseman Nico Hoerner, another popular trade target among M’s fans.
- The Mariners announced another round of organizational promotions, this time in the baseball operations department.
