Around the league…
- The Diamondbacks shocked the baseball world late last night, agreeing to a six-year deal with star right-hander Corbin Burnes. He and his wife recently had twins and reportedly wanted to remain in their offseason home in Arizona.
- And let’s not forget Patrick Corbin, who was also a D-Back!
There have been 3 players with the first name Corbin in MLB history
Burnes & Carroll will be the first to be teammates
The other, Corbin Martin, was on the Dbacks in 2021-22, but did not overlap at MLB level with Corbin Carroll. He was then claimed on waivers by MIL & then BAL

- Teoscar Hernández got his big deal with the Dodgers, re-upping with Los Angeles on a three-year pact.
- A’s team president Dave Kaval has resigned from his role to “pursue new business opportunities.”
- Carlos Baerga has been wrong in the past, but he has also been the one to break big news before, so who knows?
