Max Scherzer a late scratch; Dane Dunning to start
After a commanding win yesterday over the piggyback duo of Jacob deGrom and Jack Leiter, the Mariners won’t be facing the Rangers’ other pricey pitching acquisition; Max Scherzer has been scratched from his start today, and recently recalled Dane Dunning will make the start instead. Emerson Hancock will start for the Mariners in place of Luis Castillo, still returning from his hamstring strain.
