Jacob deGrom and the Rangers come to Peoria to face the Mariners
Spring training is winding down; there are boxes and bags lining the halls at the complex, labeled for their regular-season destinations. Today the Mariners will get a preview of one of their AL West rivals, when Jacob deGrom and the Rangers come to Peoria. The Rangers will be sending out a squad that looks pretty close to their Opening Day lineup.
The Mariners will send out Emerson Hancock and a lineup that looks pretty close to a regular season lineup. Tellez and Mastrobuoni are the two question marks, and each seems to have made a solid case this spring for a roster spot.
Scheduled to follow Hancock are three relievers whose hold on roster spots is fringier: Eduard Bazardo, Drew Pomeranz, and Shintaro Fujinami.
