Stephenson Gets Rewarded With New Contract
Stephenson has been an exceptional player in his career. His career began slow with the Washington Capitals, but once he made his way over to the Sin City it took a turn for the better. Ever since being part of the Golden Knights, he has emerged onto the scene.
Stephenson has consistently finished with 20+ points every season with the Golden Knights. Also, he has been a huge boost down the middle of the ice. If a player ever went down with injury, he was there to fill the void. Also, he has significantly gotten better, as he has two straight 60-point seasons and a 50-point season during the 2023-24 season. He is more than his point totals, as he is a legit faceoff specialist.
Stephenson over the last three seasons has maintained a 50% success rate in the faceoff circle. That goes a long way towards maintaining possession, which is a bonus for many teams. Stephenson is a great add and brings alot to the table. This Stephenson contract makes sense for both sides.
What this Means for the Seattle Kraken
The Chandler Stephenson contract is great for both sides. This is great value for him and for what he brings to the team. He is a player that has consistently gotten better and gets rewarded because of it.
He brings tremendous depth and is a good offensive threat. Also, he is able to help in the faceoff circle, which is an added bonus and can be deployed in key moments of the game. This is a great day for both sides and should make for a great 2024-25 season.
