The Seattle Seahawks’ season could end on Sunday if three specific teams avoid losing.
The Seattle Seahawks aren’t mathematically out of the playoffs but they’re functionally done barring the miracle of all miracles. Saturday night’s unbelievable win for the Los Angeles Rams over the Arizona Cardinals has given them the firmest of grips on the NFC West lead, and indeed Sunday’s action could be enough for see the Seahawks bounced from postseason contention.
What the Seahawks need to avoid Week 17 playoff elimination
Any three of these results must happen, plain and simple.
Sunday (10 am PT): New York Jets over Buffalo Bills
Sunday (1:05 pm PT): Miami Dolphins over Cleveland Browns
Sunday (1:25 pm PT): Green Bay Packers over Minnesota Vikings
Sunday (5:20 pm PT): Atlanta Falcons over Washington Commanders
Monday: Detroit Lions over San Francisco 49ers
For Sunday morning and afternoon, we’re pulling for the Jets, Dolphins, and Packers, then Sunday night we pull for the Falcons, followed by the Lions on Monday. If by any chance there’s a tie, then this becomes a case where Seattle is out with two wins and a tie from any of the teams we want to lose.
