The NFL season is starting to come to an end as playoff spots are getting clinched. Some teams have been able to sit comfortably as they know they have the postseason to look forward to. The bye-week mindset has come in as top-seeded teams are doing whatever they can to secure home-field advantage. Meanwhile, other teams can’t wait for the season to end. This is due to certain teams being eliminated and hoping for a high draft pick. It is still a big fight to the end, especially with these two teams that are fighting for a playoff spot.
These Two Teams Are Fighting For A Playoff Spot
Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have gone through some ups and downs this season. Their schedule is filled with winning streaks and losing streaks. Their worst losing streak of the season came in at three games. This took place after starting 3-0 on the season. Expectations were high for this team after this hot start to the season. However, this began to change after the midway point of the season. After their bye week, they were able to secure a four-game winning streak. These wins even came against divisional rivals such as the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals. They sit one game back on the Los Angeles Rams for the lead in the NFC West. They hope to end their season on a positive note as they try to sneak their way into the playoffs.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been going back and forth with the Atlanta Falcons. Both teams are desperately trying to hold down the NFC South. The Falcons took control of the division after their victory against the New York Giants. The Buccaneers took a step back from the lead after they lost to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. With the loss of wide receiver Chris Godwin early in the season, this offense will have to step up. The solid duo of Bucky Irving and Rachaad White can definitely make this happen. All of a sudden the Falcons are approaching their season differently with rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. now in control of the offense. Because of this, the team benched veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins in a move that many people saw coming. If Michael Penix Jr. starts to make crucial mistakes, this will play a huge role in helping the Buccaneers secure the NFC South.
This is simplest way to explain the Bucs’ playoff situation, even after tonight’s loss. If Tampa Bay beats the Panthers and Saints, either one of two things puts them in the playoffs:

A Battle To The End
It will be a battle to the end for these two teams. After their brutal losses against the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys, the Seahawks and Buccaneers know that the late-game mishaps need to stop. If one of these teams can make it in, their offense will be a key to their playoff success. After all, stars can be seen on the offensive side of the ball for both teams. The Seahawks and the Buccaneers will try to keep their playoff hopes alive as they try to take down their division rivals that sit in control of the NFC West and the NFC South.
