Ten years ago on Thanksgiving, Seahawks Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson enjoyed turkey at midfield after defeating the 49ers.
How quickly time flies, as it seems like just a couple of weeks ago that teams were making their selections in the 2024 NFL Draft, but Thanksgiving marks six months since the day after the draft. With that said, the season is well underway and just a handful of November NFL football games remain, starting with the trio of Thanksgiving Day games.
The action kicks off in the early slot with the Chicago Bears traveling to take on the Detroit Lions. The Lions have remade themselves into one of the most feared teams in the NFL under head coach Dan Campbell, and come into the game favored by 9.5 points at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Once the Bears and Lions have finished, fans can tune in to watch former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock get his first start for the New York Giants, who travel to Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys. FanDuel has the Cowboys as 3.5 point favorites, even though Dallas is 0-5 at home so far this season.
Lastly, primetime will feature what should be the best matchup of the day, with the resurgent Miami Dolphins playing against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. In spite of the recent resurgence from Miami, who enters the game having won three in a row, FanDuel has the Packers favored by 3.5 points, with the over/under at 47.5 points. Green Bay comes in off a huge win over the San Francisco 49ers, potentially setting themselves up for a letdown against the Dolphins, so expect Miami to win outright and cover the spread while the two teams score enough for the over to hit.
Here is when and how fans can watch each of the games;
- Bears versus Lions: 12:30 ET/9:30 PT on CBS
- Giants versus Cowboys: 4:30 ET/1:30 PT on FOX
- Dolphins versus Packers: 8:20 ET/5:20 PT on NBC, Peacock and Universo
