It’s time for some primetime football, which means it’s time to tune in to watch the Jets yet again.
The NFL season is almost at the halfway point, and it’s time for Thursday Night Football. This week the league is gracious enough to put the New York Jets into primetime for sixth time already this season.
For those who have grown tired of the 2-6 Jets dominating the airwaves, the end is near, with Gang Green set to only appear in primetime once more this season, barring a miraculous turnaround and playoff berth.
When the Jets take the field, they will host the Houston Texans, who come to MetLife Stadium at 6-2 and sitting atop the AFC South. A win over New York would give the Texans a two and a half game lead over the Indianapolis Colts, and with Houston having swept the season series with Indianapolis, that would be a commanding lead well before Thanksgiving.
Somehow New York comes into the game as 2.5 point favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook, with the over/under at 42.5. The Jets are bad and the Texans should win this outright, while C.J. Stroud and Aaron Rodgers put some points on the board. Thus, it’s Texans to win outright and cover and for the over to cash.
Fans can watch the game at 8:15 ET/5:15 PT on Prime Video.
