The Seattle Seahawks are one of only two NFL teams still in need of a head coach.
One of the coaches Seattle is interested in his Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, and with Baltimore’s season officially over, the Seahawks can explore his candidacy more in-depth.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Seattle is bringing in Macdonald for a second interview on Wednesday, one day after meeting with him in Baltimore.

Macdonald, 36, has also interviewed with the Washington Commanders, the only other team still looking for a head coach. He spent the last two seasons as the Ravens’ defensive coordinator, helping the team earn the AFC’s No. 1 seed in 2023.
From 2014-20, Macdonald held a variety of different positions with the Ravens, beginning as a coaching intern and eventually working up to defensive backs coach and then linebackers coach.
The Boston-born assistant spent the 2021 season working as Jim Harbaugh’s defensive coordinator at the University of Michigan.
In addition to Macdonald, other reported candidates for the Seahawks include Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.
