Ryan Grubb isn’t the only one leaving the Seahawks coaching staff.
The Seattle Seahawks have lost one of their coaching staff members back to the college football scene.
Offensive assistant/quality control coach Zak Hill has left his position to return to Boise State University, where he spent several seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He’ll once again be QBs coach at Boise State but he’ll also carry the title of passing game coordinator.

As was the case for a few other assistants under Mike Macdonald, Hill had no prior NFL experience when he was hired by the Seahawks. The Oregon native and former Central Washington quarterback has predominantly held high school and college jobs in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington, so this is not some major surprise.
Hill is the second Seahawks assistant coach to depart this offseason. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grub was let go on Monday, and there’s no guarantee that we won’t see more changes (voluntary or force) otherwise in the days to come after a disappointing season for the offense.
