Signs point toward a return to action for the Seahawks’ star wide receiver.
It looks like the Seattle Seahawks will have star wide receiver DK Metcalf back in the lineup for their crucial Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Having missed the last two weeks with an MCL sprain, Metcalf fully participated in Wednesday’s practice, marking his first full practice since sustaining his injury against the Atlanta Falcons. As long as there are no setbacks, it looks like it should be a return to the field for DK.
The other major story is starting right tackle Abe Lucas getting activated off the PUP list after missing all of this season with an ongoing knee issue. He remains a limited participant, just as he’s generally been during his 21-day practice window in the lead-up to being on the active roster. While coach Mike Macdonald said it’s realistic to believe Lucas will play this weekend, it’s not a lock that he will be available.
This was a generally light injury report for Seattle, with the most noticeable absence coming on the defensive line. Leonard Williams was a DNP due to a foot injury, but I wouldn’t panic just yet given it’s a Wednesday practice. Tight ends Noah Fant and Brady Russell were both non-participants, and we know Fant is not likely to play this week. Center Connor Williams missed out due to personal reasons.
Boye Mafe was a limited participant with a knee injury, while Dre’Mont Jones was a full participant after suffering an AC joint sprain against the Buffalo Bills.
Here’s the full injury report for both teams, and keep an eye on edge rusher Nick Bosa, who may be a question mark after playing through a hip injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
