After a season in the Big Apple, Drew Lock is set to return for a second stint in the Seattle.
The Seattle Seahawks have not shied away from making moves at the quarterback position this offseason. First, the team agreed to trade incumbent starter Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders for a third round pick, and then turned right around and signed free agent Sam Darnold away from the Minnesota Vikings.
It appeared that would likely have left Sam Howell as the apparent backup for Darnold, however, according to a report Friday afternoon from NFL insider Tom Pelissero the Seahawks have reportedly agreed to terms on a reunion with Drew Lock, most recently of the New York Giants.

After spending the 2022 and 2023 seasons in Seattle after arriving as one of the pieces acquired in the fleecing of the Denver Broncos known as the Russell Wilson trade, Lock spent the 2024 season with the New York Giants. In New York he started five games, including leading the Giants to victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17, a win that bumped New York out of the top overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
