There has been no shortage of names linked to the open offensive coordinator job for the Seahawks, and Wednesday a report emerged that the team could be looking at filling the role with a pair of coaches from different teams.
The search to replace Ryan Grubb as offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks is in its third week, and Wednesday a report emerged regarding one of the candidates that a lot of fans hope winds up with the job.
Specifically, Albert Breer of SI.com noted that the Hawks could be interested in Hank Fraley as part of an offensive coordinator duo of Fraley and Scott Turner, who was most recently the passing game coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders.

What may not be immediately apparent is why the Seahawks would potentially be interested in pairing Fraley and Turner together, but it does not take long for the connection to become apparent.
Turner is, for those who do not recognize the name, the son of former NFL head coach Norv Turner. During the Seahawks franchise-record setting season in 2020 the Hawks ran a variant of Turner’s offense under then offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. Perhaps more importantly though, both Turner and Fraley coached for the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 through 2016 under head coach Mike Zimmer while none other than Norv Turner was offensive coordinator, potentially demonstrating that the duo could work together well and as a team.
This would certainly not be the first time the Seahawks split coordinator duties on the offensive side of the ball, as Darrell Bevell and Tom Cable famously split duties from 2011 through 2017. More recently, Andy Dickerson served as the run game coordinator in 2021 while Shane Waldron was the offensive coordinator, with Chad Morton taking over the title of run game coordinator for 2022 and 2023 when Dickerson was promoted to offensive line coach.
In any case, as the search for a new play caller develops, Field Gulls will work to keep fans up to date on all the developments.
