The Seattle Seahawks are adding to their defensive line.
Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Seahawks are expected to sign defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins after he visited with them on Tuesday.
Hankins spent the prior two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and finished the 2023 season with 27 total tackles and three sacks.
Before that, he spent four and a half seasons with the Raiders and had some of the best seasons of his career. He also spent one season with the Indianapolis Colts and four seasons with the New York Giants.
His 2014 season remains his best individual season after he compiled 51 total tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble, and three passes defended.
He’s a former second-round pick out of Ohio State and spent three seasons with the school before declaring for the 2013 NFL Draft. During that time, he recorded 138 total tackles and five sacks.
He’ll be an added piece to the Seahawks’ defense as they try and get back to the playoffs in 2024. They finished the 2023 season with a 9-8 record, which wasn’t good enough to make the playoffs.
