There was a rather awkward moment on the sidelines in yesterday’s Eagles-Seahawks game when Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown shoved Seahawks defensive back Michael Jackson before being shoved by someone in street clothes standing next to him. That second person has now been identified.
According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, the person in street clothes was Seahawks practice squad offensive lineman Joey Hunt. Since they’re a player, they might not be disciplined in the same way that a member of the Eagles’ security team was earlier this month.
“From The Insiders on #NFLPlus and @nflnetwork : If you were wondering why a non-player on the #Seahawks’ sideline didn’t get the Dom DiSandro treatment for getting into it with the #Eagles’ A.J. Brown, it’s in part because he actually is a player — practice-squad OL Joey Hunt,” Garafolo wrote.
Even so, fans didn’t appreciate that a player in street clothes was able to just get into it with Brown and get away scott-free.

“So cause he’s a player he can just throw a shoulder unprovoked into AJ Brown and not get a penalty? What a precedent! An inactive practice squad guy has less of a reason to be on the sideline than Big Dom does,” one user replied.
“So a person associated with the organization but not on the roster? It’s the same exact thing lol,” wrote another.
“So that makes it better lol,” a third wrote.
Do you think Hunt should still face discipline?
