Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has an important visit with the Seattle Seahawks scheduled for this Thursday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This will mark Quinn’s second interview with the Seahawks. If all goes well, he could potentially become the favorite for the job.
Quinn soared in the coaching ranks during his initial stint with the Seahawks. He coached the defensive line from 2009-2010 before becoming Seattle’s defensive coordinator in 2013.
After helping the Seahawks make back-to-back Super Bowl titles, Quinn agreed to become the head coach of the Falcons. Although his stint ended on a sour note, he led the franchise to the Super Bowl during the 2016 season.
Overall, Quinn has a 43-42 record as a head coach in the NFL.

Quinn could, in theory, replace his former mentor in Pete Carroll. The Seahawks moved on from Carroll shortly after Week 18 of the regular season.
If Quinn doesn’t land a promotion this offseason, he’s expected to return to the Cowboys for another season as their defensive coordinator.
For now, Quinn’s focus is on landing a head-coaching gig. We should know more about his future once his interview with the Seahawks wraps up.
