To the shock and surprise of just about everyone in the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks removed Pete Carroll as their head coach after 14 years at the helm. At 72 years old, he’s one of the oldest people to ever be an NFL head coach. But is he truly done coaching?
It’s a question that many want answered but that Carroll himself doesn’t seem to know how to yet. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Carroll said that he’s just focusing on the present and doesn’t know what the future has in store for him.
“Today’s about today. I don’t know that,” Carroll said when asked if he’s done coaching, per Jori Epstein.
Carroll went 137-89-1 as head coach of the Seahawks, leading them to 10 playoff appearances, five division titles, two Super Bowls and a Super Bowl title in the 2013 season.
Would Pete Carroll consider a coaching role elsewhere?

But the Seahawks’ dominance has waned in recent years. Despite back-to-back winning seasons, the Seahawks have missed the playoffs in two of their last three seasons.
Why the Seahawks chose now to make this change appears unclear, but Carroll was definitely not ready to call it quits.
Will we see Carroll coach another down in the NFL or maybe even college football?
