The Seattle Seahawks dropped a bombshell on Wednesday when they fired head coach Pete Carroll.
They let go of Carroll after 14 years as the head coach but he will be staying with the organization as an advisor.
With him now upstairs, the search is underway for a new head coach and one candidate could potentially arise if he is fired out of Dallas.
Per Mike Sando of The Athletic, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy could be a candidate for the job if the Cowboys falter in the playoffs. He also mentions Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as a candidate.
Obviously early in process but beyond Dan Quinn, another person with strong ties to #seahawks FO is … Mike McCarthy. Just something to keep in mind if certain things unfold.

McCarthy would have to be let go by owner Jerry Jones before the Seahawks could pursue them and that would only happen if the Cowboys fail to go far in the playoffs.
The Seahawks finished the 2023 season with a 9-8 record and failed to make the playoffs.
