Former NFL pass rusher J.J. Watt is high on former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.
Even though Caroll is no longer the coach of the Seahawks, Watt thinks he’d be a great fit for the Los Angeles Chargers.
“I feel like Pete Carroll would be a great fit with the Chargers,” Watt said.

He still looks good throwing the football around” ~ @JJWatt #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/T5GDyVveOr

Even though Carroll could be a good fit, it doesn’t look like he’s going to take that job. For one, he has a front-office role with the Seahawks, and two, it looks like Jim Harbaugh is the leading candidate for the Chargers gig.
Carroll may have to take a year off from coaching before he potentially gets involved again after next season when more jobs open up.
He’d be a top candidate for any job considering his 137-89-1 record during the 14 seasons he spent with the Seahawks. He also led them to a Super Bowl title in 2013-14.
