Mike Macdonald gave some good news about the team’s leading receiver.
Let’s hope this is just another time DK Metcalf was carted off the field for nothing serious.
The star wide receiver left in the second half on Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons after 99 yards, one TD, and a pretty hard land out of bounds.
The prognosis is a minor MCL sprain, which is potentially good news for the Seattle Seahawks.
Coach Mike Macdonald says of DK Metcalf has a “minor MCL sprain” in his knee. Grade 1. “Doesn’t look like a long-term injury.” Says the WR will do everything humanely possible to play for #Seahawks Sunday vs Buffalo

Metcalf has amassed the second-most amount of receiving yards in the NFL this season, with 568. He’s been vitally important to new coordinator Ryan Grubb’s offense, perhaps more than ever. The chemistry between he and Geno Smith is a near-necessity next week when taking on the division-leading Buffalo Bills.
Two years ago, Metcalf was also carted off the field for reasons that proved to be….urgent but not disastrous.
A grade one knee sprain hurts, but leaves Metcalf with the potential to play soon, possibly as soon as this coming week. Surely he’s got his sights set on a consecutive carting off followed by no time missed.
