Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is set to be in high demand for another coaching cycle but he appears to have a preferred landing spot if he gets an offer.
Per Fan Nation’s Cowboy Country, Quinn has been “targeting” a return to Seattle since that job is now open.
The Seattle Seahawks moved Pete Carroll upstairs earlier this week and are now searching for a new head coach.
If they were to target Quinn, they’d be going after someone who was with the organization in 2013 and 2014 as defensive coordinator. He worked under Carroll, who still knows him well.
Since that time, Quinn has gone on to be the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons for almost six seasons before he got let go during the 2020 season. He then became the Cowboys Defensive coordinator in 2021 and has had that role ever since.
His focus remains with the Cowboys since they have a playoff game this weekend but that will likely quickly shift if they flame out against the Green Bay Packers.
