The winner will play Notre Dame in the final.
It’s time for the second semifinal of the 2025 College Football Playoff. Notre Dame rallied past Penn State in a thrilling Orange Bowl, and now they await the winner of Friday night’s tilt between Texas and Ohio State. This is effectively a home game for Texas given this is the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, but I’m sure there will be plenty of Ohio State fans in attendance.
Quinn Ewers is a quarterback who could garner some attention in this year’s NFL Draft. He was the top recruit out of high school but has probably seen his draft stock slip this year due to his performances post-oblique injury. Ewers anticipates declaring for the draft whenever Texas’ season ends, which is ideally not tonight for him.
Ohio State has Jeremiah Smith, cousin of Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith, and he’s arguably the best wide receiver in college football. As a freshman. Why would you not want to watch him play?
Lots of NFL talent on both teams, and this should be a fun one.
ESPN has the broadcast at 4:30 pm PT.
