There were just so many options to choose from!
This is one of those unsurprising surprise moments.
After holding the Arizona Cardinals to six points at home, many came out of the game feeling the Seattle Seahawks had a player deserving of the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award.
They won it alright.
But…might some be surprised by who ultimately received it?

The social media team has been having fun this week.
The surprise here is that it did not in fact go to Leonard Williams, whose stat line was so full of crooked numbers you have to slow down to read it. He put forth the most dominant game from a lineman that Seattle has enjoyed in years.
Seahawks Leonard Williams just had his best game of the season so far. 9 Pressures and 2.5 Sacks. He was all over Kyler Murray yesterday. pic.twitter.com/hh9m0V20nX

Leonard Williams had a 28.1% pressure rate, his highest since at least 2018. He had 9 total pressures.

But this is the NFL! Points!
Coby Bryant is an equally deserving member of the revitalized defense, and it is a truly astonishing turnaround that we’re able to quiver over which player on this team outperformed each other, when not five weeks ago it was among the worst defenses in the league.
You’ve seen it before, but here’s a different take on the game-sealing pick-6 from Week 12.

After a couple of years of shuffling positions around and riding the bench, Bryant has become a force for the Seahawks in the past three weeks. A very hearty congratulations, and “look out” to the rest of the NFC.
