Laviska Shenault was signed in free agency to significant fanfare from those who liked the potential he brought to the Seahawks on both offense and special teams. Following a roster move Tuesday, however, three teams have now opted to move on from Shenault in the past year.
The season is over for the Seattle Seahawks, but across the league there are several former members of the organization who will continue on in the postseason with new teams.
Some of the names Seattle fans will recognize include Nick Bellore, who has continued his role as high level special teamer with the Washington Commanders under former Seahawks special teams coordinator Larry Izzo. Also with the Commanders in Washington is former Hawks long snapper Chris Ott, and when Washington takes the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Ryan Neal will be on the opposite sideline. In addition, the Bucs have a trio of former Seahawks on the practice squad, in Raiqwon O’Neal, Garret Greenfield and Cody Thompson, though sadly Thompson is on practice squad injured reserve and will not be available to suit up for the contest.
However, before getting to the Bucs and Commanders showdown Sunday, the playoffs will start off Saturday afternoon when the Los Angeles Chargers face off against the Houston Texans. The Texans have just one former Seahawk on their practice squad, offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum, who was released on the eve of training camp last summer, while the Chargers were set to have a trio of former Seahawks available for the matchup. Were set to have is the key, though, as on Tuesday Los Angeles opted to move on from one of the three members of the team who had previously played for Seattle.
we’ve signed RB Ezekiel Elliott to the practice squad and released WR Laviska Shenault from the practice squad.

The other two former Seahawks who remain with Los Angeles as they look to defeat the Texans are tight end Will Dissly and defensive lineman Poona Ford, as Jim Harbaugh looks to match the Seahawks postseason win total of the past eight years in his first season in Los Angeles.
As for Shenault, his tenure with the Chargers finishes with 7 offensive and 13 special teams snaps without recording any official statistics in his lone appearance for the Bolts.
Later in the week Field Gulls will publish a full list of former Seahawks whose seasons have yet to end as their teams continue to battle in the postseason.
