Purdy is out and Brendan Allen is in at quarterback.
Oh, Moses, smell the roses. It turns out that the San Francisco 49ers may have a bit of a hangover after getting beat by the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday. Quarterback Brock Purdy has been nursing a right shoulder situation this week, and pass rusher Nick Bosa left the game in the third quarter with what was assumed was an aggravation of his previous hip injury, but Kyle Shanahan updated after the game that it was, in fact, his oblique.
It’s unclear whether Bosa’s continued hip issue or his new oblique situation is keeping him out of this weekend’s contest against the Green Bay Packers, but one or both of them is. Nick Bosa will not, in fact, be playing this week, and neither will Brock Purdy.
49ers ruled out QB Brock Purdy and DE Nick Bosa for Sunday’s game against the Packers.

Purdy injured his right shoulder at some point during week 11’s matchup against the Seahawks but was able to finish the game. A 49ers beat writer, Sports Illustrated’s Grant Cohn, believes he may have found the moment:

Purdy, playing his third season for the 49ers, is missing his first professional game due to the shoulder injury. He had been practicing “day to day” all week until leaving the field early on Thursday and not speaking to the media.
As Field Gulls’s Mookie Alexander noted earlier on Friday, the 49ers’ matchup with Green Bay could have major consequences for the Seattle Seahawks’ postseason chances.
Brandon Allen will replace Purdy under center.
The 49ers and Packers kickoff Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field at 1:25 PT.
#49ers QB Brock Purdy will travel with the team to Green Bay despite being ruled out with shoulder injury.
DE Nick Bosa will NOT make the trip as he gets treatment on his oblique/hip issue.
