After releasing wide receiver Tyler Locket, the long-time Seattle Seahawk DK Metcalf officially requests a trade who could be on the move immediately. According to the breaking news, the team is agreeing on the deal to explore their options on a Metcalf deal. Last season, the wheels were falling off for the wide receiver as he had one of the worst campaigns in recent memory, recording 66 catches for 992 yards and five receiving touchdowns. Metcalf’s decline comes from the resurgence of fellow rising wideout talent Jaxon Smith-Njigba who caught 100 passes for 1,130 receiving yards.
Although the Seahawks are still closer to postseason contention, Metcalf would rather head to a contender where the team could compete for a Super Bowl. Originally selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the former Ole Miss product has the talent and hands to produce big-time numbers as he’s heading toward his prime years at age 27. It’s no surprise he’s requesting a trade as he doesn’t want to waste any more time for a team that’s possibly going to continue to rebuild under second-year head coach Mike Macdonald. Since this year’s draft class of wide receivers looks weak this offseason, Metcalf should attract plenty of suitors and these five teams could bank on him.

BREAKING: Superstar DK Metcalf Surprisingly Requests Trade, 5 Potential Suitors Could Emerge
Possible Next Teams
Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore has struggled the entirety of last year to find a new weapon to help Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. It was the worst time for Flowers to miss the playoffs this season but the team had no choice. The Diontae Johnson experiment didn’t work out and now the Ravens are back to the drawing board. Metcalf probably will break their salary cap but the team could easily restructure his contract which he would likely allow.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers have the most money for a trade situation that would intrigue Metcalf. Quentin Johnston isn’t living up to expectations as second-year Ladd McConkey has carved out a role for himself in this offense. Quarterback Justin Herbert is thriving every season with plenty of passing yards but he could do way better with a Metcalf trade. Joshua Palmer is a free agent so this means the Chargers need a wide receiver now that they have the money they didn’t have last offseason.
Las Vegas Raiders
This will be a popular destination for Metcalf since this means he will reunite with former head coach Pete Carroll. Metcalf would only perform at his best if the Raiders get a capable quarterback. However, that’s the expectation, the star wideout could wait to explore his options before eventually teaming up with the Raiders.
Kansas City Chiefs
A no-brainer trade for the Kansas City Chiefs would be to bring Metcalf to finally salvage the wide receiving department for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Marquise Brown and DeAndre Hopkins are free agents so this means the team will sign either one or the other. The Chiefs trading for Metcalf could mean Brown might be in a new uniform since he’s receiving interest from the Bills.
Buffalo Bills
Speaking of the Bills, the team is most likely losing Amari Cooper in free agency after a disappointing end to his tenure. Cooper has been battling injuries but since Mack Hollins is a free agent too, they should be looking for an upgrade. Metcalf would emerge as Josh Allen’s top target and could get the Bills in the Super Bowl.
