The Chiefs look to lock up a playoff spot against the hapless Raiders.
The Las Vegas Raiders were the last team to beat the Kansas City Chiefs before their Super Bowl run. They’re still the most recent team to beat the Chiefs in Kansas City.
This year’s Raiders stink. Antonio Pierce turned his interim head coach gig into a permanent position, and he’s overseeing a 2-9 wreck that hasn’t won since September. Aidan O’Connell is back in the starting lineup due to the season-ending injury to Gardner Minshew II, while both Alexander Mattison and Zamir White are out for the Raiders in the running game.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs “bounced back” from their first loss of the season to the Buffalo Bills by narrowly beating the Carolina Panthers. Kansas City is 10-1 and yet have just a +52 point differential. The largest win all season for the Chiefs is 13, and even the first meeting with the Raiders was only a 27-20 win.
And yet, the Chiefs are 13.5-point favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook. I’ll take the Chiefs to win, the Raiders to cover, but the over to hit on 42.5 points.
