Bradford injured his ankle on Seattle’s opening series against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Seattle Seahawks have generally had a healthy offensive line except at right tackle this season, but it looks as if there will be a change coming at right guard.
Anthony Bradford was injured on the Seahawks’ opening possession of their 16-6 home win over the Arizona Cardinals. He was helped to the sidelines before being carted into the locker room. Initially ruled doubtful, Bradford did not return and eventually sported a walking boot and crutches.
Mike Macdonald told reporters after the game that it’s unlikely that Bradford will play in Week 13 versus the New York Jets.
“He’s got an ankle [injury],” Macdonald said. “We’ll see. It’s not broken or anything. Probably looking like at least a game.”
This means that, at least for next week, the right guard job belongs to third-round rookie Christian Haynes. After competing with Bradford in training camp, Haynes was unable to secure the starting spot. However, Bradford’s early-season struggles resulted in Haynes getting rotational snaps from Week 2 to Week 8, only for Bradford to get the full workload over the previous two weeks.
McClendon Curtis and Jason Peters are other right guard options on the practice squad.
