If you missed the playoffs, you can’t get any higher than 18th in the draft order.
The Seattle Seahawks were pretty much locked into their draft positioning whether they won or lost against the Los Angeles Rams, but results elsewhere made it undeniable where they would be picking.
With a 10-7 record, the Seahawks hold the best mark of any non-playoff team for the 2024 season. If you’ve got the worst mark, you get the No. 1 overall pick. If you’ve got the best for a non-playoff team, you’re picking at No. 18. This is two spots higher than the Seahawks’ draft spot in 2023, when they were 9-8 and missed the playoffs on the final day.
There’s still the matter of the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions outcome and how that affects the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers in the draft order, but this is what we’ve got as of Sunday afternoon.
