
A big game from the senior keeps WSU in the WCC tournament.
The Washington State Cougars will be moving on to the WCC quarterfinals after defeating the Loyola Marymount Lions, 94-77.
WSU (19-13) will take on the San Francisco Dons at 8pm on Sunday for the right to move onto the semi-finals.
It was the Cougar veterans who got it done in their opening game of the WCC tournament. Ethan Price led the charge early for WSU, scoring an incredibly efficient 22 points, 20 in the first half alone. Price finished 8/9 from the field. Nate Calmese attacked the Lions defense from all over the floor, finishing with 22 points. LeJuan Watts tacked on a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Rihards Vavers was also key in the victory, scoring 16 off the bench with four three-pointers.
