On Friday against the Trojans, the Cougar bats came to life in a 20-8 victory. They got off to a hot start with an 8-3 lead after the second inning and continued throughout the game as they put up 9 runs in the 6th inning to give them an 18-6 lead. They added another 2 in the 8th inning to give them the 12-run win.
The Cougar bats got cold as the weekend progressed and on Saturday they had a 3-2 lead heading into the 7th inning before the Trojans dropped 5 runs in the top of the 7th and another 2 runs in the 8th to give them a 9-4 victory.
