Happy Tuesday!
Good morning, Coug fans!
Welcome back to the swing of things. Who else has been writing 2024 on everything still?
We have an exciting week for your Washington State Cougars, so let’s get into it.
Things start a little slow this week, but pick up on Thursday. Men’s hoops take a trip down to sunny San Diego to face the Toreros at 4:30. You can find the game on ESPN+ of course.
Immediately following that matchup, the Women’s team takes on University of San Francisco, down in the Bay Area. I’d schedule your takeout to arrive right between games for maximum enjoyment opportunities. That game is also on ESPN+!
Friday offers a break from basketball, but have no fear, there’s plenty of Coug sports to enjoy! My personal heroes the WSU Tennis team (if you know you know) have a 10am match against the University of Idaho at home. I’m not encouraging anyone to skip out on responsibilities but I am also not discouraging it. If you have a morning class or meeting, tennis also plays at Eastern Washington at 3pm – and who doesn’t want to start their weekend early?
We’re still on Friday here, but WSU swimming hosts Utah Tech at home at 5pm! Stay cozy indoors with the swimming team! While swimming is not technically considered cozy, it’s warmer than, say, football.
If you’re local to Spokane and feel like checking out Track and Field, they have an all day meet on Friday – the Cougar Classic!
If you’re over in my neck of the woods, the bad place is hosting a UW Track & Field preview all day Friday. Outrunning some Huskies sounds like a blast! This event runs through Saturday as well, which brings us to…
Did you miss basketball during that marathon of other sports yesterday? I have good news! WSU Women’s hoops play down at Santa Clara at 2pm (on ESPN+) and men’s hoops host the University of Portland at home at 3! Or on ESPN+. Sensing a theme?
Tennis brings us home on Sunday, playing Michigan State in Spokane at 10am.
Phew! I’m out of breath! So many sports, so much to enjoy. Drink some water and Go Cougs!
