McCoy became the 15th AD, and the first woman to hold the position! She’ll be officially welcomed on July 16th, at the Alger Family Club Room at Gesa Field- the school will announce more details on that soon.
She’s been with WSU since 2001, however she really hit the ground running in her most recent role- in her three months as acting AD she secured three new head coaches (David Riley for men’s basketball, Russ Whitaker for swimming, and Kevin Tucker for women’s golf), she extended Kamie Ethridge, navigated the new media agreement with The CW, and facilitated swimming and baseball to join the Mountain West for the 2024/25 season as well.
She’s worked closely with the Title IX office, as the department liaison with WSU’s Compliance and Civil Rights office.
McCoy is committed to all the programs at WSU, and will surely lead each department to new and exciting heights!
Congrats, Anne! We can’t wait to cheer both for you, and with you, as sports resume in the fall! Go Cougs!
