Zoom Diallo, the No. 1 point guard in the country, has committed to Washington, he announced Saturday.
Diallo chose the Hudkies over Gonzaga, Arizona and USC after mulling his decision at his home in Tacoma, Washington, in recent days.
“Family is very big for me,” Diallo said during his commitment. “Just having a community I’ve had around me for my whole life was a big thing for me.”

The Prolific Prep (CA.) product visited Washington in September.
“Zoom is the ultimate high-character point guard. He lights up every room that he is in,” Prolific Prep coach Ryan Bernardi said. “Zoom can score and make others around him better. He has good positional size and strength, which allows him to be a tough matchup on both ends. We are happy for Zoom and his family on his commitment today.”
Diallo is the second commit in Washington’s class of 2024, joining three-star guard Casmir Chavis.
