We could be witnessing a major upset this Saturday in Seattle. No. 5 Washington currently trails 28-24 to No. 18 Utah at home.
There’s been so much talk about Washington star Michael Penix Jr. this season, and rightfully so, but its Utah quarterback Bryson Barnes who’s lighting up the boxscore this afternoon. He has 238 passing yards and two touchdowns at halftime.
Ja’Quinden Jackson has also been stellar for the Utes, rushing for 30 yards and two scores on nine attempts.
Even though Washington has 24 points through two quarters, Utah has applied enough pressure on Penix to make him inaccurate at times. In fact, he has more incompletions (14) than completions (13) so far.

The good news for Washington is that it has plenty of time to turn things around and preserve its perfect record.
In order for the Huskies to improve to 10-0, they’ll need their defense to make life somewhat challenging for Barnes and the Utes.
The second half of this Pac-12 contest will resume on FOX. Washington will receive the opening possession of the third quarter.
