Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. had some fun with the media after Washington’s win over Oregon on Friday night.
Penix Jr. channeled his inner Geno Smith after Washington pulled off the win.
“They tried to write us off, but we ain’t write back,” Penix Jr. said.
This comes after Smith said the same thing last season when people were writing him off.

Washington took a 20-3 lead in the first half before trailing 24-20 in the second half. However, Washington came back to win a thriller, 34-31.
With the win, Washington is now 13-0 and will likely be in the College Football Playoff later this month.
Penix Jr. had one heck of a game, completing 69% of his passes for 319 yards and one touchdown.
It was a great way to end the Pac-12 since both Washington, Oregon, and other schools from the conference will be joining the Big Ten next year.
