Unfortunately, ESPN’s Laura Rutledge didn’t share her daughter’s pick for the national championship game between Michigan and Washington. That’s because she didn’t make one.
There were several fans eagerly waiting to see who Reese would pick for this Monday’s matchup.
Moments ago, Rutledge explained why her daughter didn’t make a pick. It turns out Reese just wanted to spend her free time playing “princesses” with her parents.
“Reese did not do a pick for this game because I’ve been traveling so much for college and NFL,” Rutledge explained. “There was only one night we could do it and when I asked her if she wanted to, she said she’d rather play ‘princesses’ so that’s what we did. We have always said we’d never make her do it if she didn’t want to.”

We can’t help but smile reading that explanation from Rutledge.
Hopefully, Reese had a great time playing “princesses” with Laura and the rest of the Rutledge family.
