Congrats to Jalen Suggs and Corey Kispert! That’s a huge weight lifted off each one’s shoulders.
Monday was the deadline for rookie contract extensions and two Gonzaga legends apart of the 201 Final Four squad ended up getting paid. The former teammates in Jalen Suggs and Corey Kispert were taken 10 picks apart in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft.
The Orlando Magic guard agreed to a five-year, $150.5 million rookie contract extension. This massive new deal comes after Suggs being named to the 2024 NBA All-Defensive Second Team. As for the Washington Wizards forward, he agreed to a four-year, $54 million contract extension. Kispert averaged 13.4 PPG last season and is a career 38.8 3PT% shooter.

Brandon Clarke – 4 years/$52 million
Domantas Sabonis – 5 years/$217 million
Kelly Olynyk – 2 years/$26 million

Gonzaga now has $518,112,155 of active salary in NBA contracts. Chet Holmgren’s big contact extension is coming up before the start of the 2025-2026 season.
