Sabonis hit the red carpet in Hollywood for the premiere of his new sports series.
The show hasn’t even dropped yet but I’m already awarding Domantas Sabonis an Emmy for his performance.
“Starting 5” follows Sacramento Kings’ Sabonis, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards, Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum throughout the 2023-24 NBA season. The 10-part series will start streaming on October 9th on Netflix.
The premiere for the sports series took place in Hollywood last night and Sabonis was in attendance on the red carpet.

Per Netflix, the series aims to capture the players’ “battles on and off the court as they chase greatness, push through injuries, and balance the demands of family and legacy.” The crew primarily focuses on how Sabonis used his versatile play to help the Kings throughout the season.
The series was created by UNINTERRUPTED in association with Higher Ground Productions and Omaha Productions. It was specifically executive produced by Maverick Carter, Jamal Henderson, Philip Byron and Randy Mims (for UNINTERRUPTED); President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Vinnie Malhotra and Ethan Lewis (for Higher Ground); Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz and Sam Pepper (for Omaha). Each of the 10 episodes will be 45 minutes long.
