The nation’s best lead guard and facilitator is getting the national recognition that he deserves.
College basketball’s assists leader at 9.6 per game is named to the Wooden Award Top 25 Midseason Watch List. Ryan Nembhard already has a total of 153 assists through the first 16 games the season. He’s on pace to break his record that he set last year at 243.
Nembhard has only turned the ball over a total of 38 times this season. His 4.03 assist/turnover ratio ranks as the fifth best in the country.
Along with his passing ability, Nembhard is averaging 11.6 points per game on a shooting split of 42.9 FG%/37.5 3PT%/84.0 FT% to go along with 3.5 rebounds per game and 1.8 steals per game for the Zags.

The 2025 Wooden Award winner will be announced on April 11th at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The event will also honor the Legends of Coaching honoree, Gonzaga’s coach Mark Few.
