Gonzaga fans in Seattle know what they’ll be doing on December 7th.
Mark your calendars for two of the biggest college basketball names going at each other’s throats again. December 7th in the 2024 Battle in Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena.
In 2022, Kentucky and Gonzaga agreed to a six-year series which includes two games at the Rupp Arena, one game in the McCarthey Athletic Center, and three neutral site games. Kentucky has lost the first two games of the series in the Spokane Arena in 2022 and in the Rupp Arena in 2024.
Gonzaga has a record of 9-5 in the Battle in Seattle event and the last time the Zags played in it was a loss to Alabama in 2021, 91-82. I remember being at this game and the environment still bonkers despite the defeat. I expect nothing different in 2024.
The Zags are 2-1 in the all-time series with the Wildcats. Here is what the 2024-2025 non-conference schedule is looking like:
November 27th – November 29th at the Battle 4 Atlantis (Arizona, Indiana, Louisville, Providence, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Davidson)
December 7th vs Kentucky (at Climate Pledge Arena)
December 14th vs UConn (at Madison Square Garden)
TBA vs UCLA (at Intuit Dome)
TBA at San Diego State
The game time and television information for the Kentucky-Gonzaga matchup will be announced soon. Tickets go on-sale to the public on June 28 at 10 AM at climatepledgearena.com.
