From basketball player to handyman to commercial actor, Mr. Zag does it all.
You may have heard JB Long who was the host for West Coast Conference’s Media Day on ESPNU bring up the heart-warming story about Ben Gregg’s Name, Image and Likeness deal with Bill’s Heating and A/C in Spokane. I came across it from Rick Clark who follows our Facebook page.

Gregg is using his NIL platform for the better throughout the Spokane community. I don’t know many other college basketball players in the country that would add this specific clause to a contract. To do something like this out of the kindness of his heart just proves the strong character he possesses.
Mark Few made a joke at the WCC Media Day that Gregg probably shouldn’t be messing around with the equipment necessary for that kind of job. He doesn’t want the Energizer Bunny to get electrocuted before the season even starts. Basketball is the right gig for Gregg but he’s also a pretty natural commercial actor. I love his work with Bill’s Heating and A/C, Walker’s Furniture and Adam’s Tractor. That’s something Few will allow his star forward to continue as a side hustle.
It’s just another reason to love what the Vanilla Gorilla stands for. A true Zag and a Pacific Northwest legend. It’s going to be an emotional senior night for all of his fans in February, especially for the Grandma’s for Gregg fan group.
