Gonzaga jumped up one spot to #3 in the second regular season edition of the Associated Press Top 25 poll after Purdue took down Alabama. The Zags received a total of 1,397 votes, including 2 first place votes. Only #2 UConn and #1 Kansas are ahead of Mark Few’s program.

The Zags have future games scheduled against #2 UConn and #9 Kentucky with the possibility of playing #16 Indiana and/or #17 Arizona in the Battle 4 Atlantis. Saint Mary’s didn’t receive any votes in this version of the AP Poll for the second week in a row.
Gonzaga (3-0) takes on their future Pac-12 Conference rival in San Diego State (2-0) at the Viejas Arena on Monday at 7 PM PT on CBS Sports Network. The Aztecs upset the Zags last season at the McCarthey Athletic Center, 84-74.
