The Zags couldn’t buy a bucket in the closing minutes of the 77-71 loss to the Huskies in New York City this past Saturday night.
After losing to UConn at Madison Square Garden, Gonzaga (7-3) moved to #13 in the sixth regular season edition of the Associated Press Top 25 poll. The Zags received a total of 737 votes.
The Huskies (8-3) shot up seven spots to #11 while receiving 808 votes. UCLA (9-1) moved up to #18 with 436 who Gonzaga will play at the Intuit Dome on December 28th. Saint Mary’s (9-2) received 0 votes after losing to Boise State in a 67-65 overtime thriller in Idaho Falls.

In KenPom, the Zags ranks #6 overall with the #2 adjusted offensive efficiency and the #21 adjusted defensive efficiency.
In the NET rankings, Gonzaga moves down to #4 behind ##3 Duke, #2 Auburn, and #1 Tennessee. The Zags have a 2-3 record in Quad 1 games and 2-0 in Quad 2 games. Five other West Coast Conference programs rank in the Top 100 with Oregon State (#42), Saint Mary’s (#43), San Francisco (#45), Washington State (#67), and Santa Clara (#78).
Gonzaga is back at it against Nicholls State on Wednesday at 6 PM PT on ESPN+.
