The home-and-home series is set to finish at Viejas Arena during the upcoming season.
Next season’s game between Gonzaga and San Diego State will be played on Monday, November 18th at Viejas Arena. This is the return game of home-and-home series.
The Aztecs upset the then #13 Zags in the Kennel on the last 2023 non-conference matchup, 84-74. That game was the first double-digit loss at The Kennel for Gonzaga in over a decade. The Zags were going through their struggles during that time, right as it was leading into the new year and West Coast Conference play.
San Diego State may have an overall record of 43-3 over the last three seasons but they lost majority of their minutes, points, rebounds and assists from last season’s roster via graduation and the transfer portal. Brian Dutcher will have his hands full without Lamont Butler (transferred to Kentucky) and Micah Parrish (transferred to Ohio State). A familiar face that will be the key player for the Aztecs next season is Wayne McKinney III who transferred in from nearby San Diego.
Here is what the 2024-2025 non-conference schedule is shaping up to look like for the Zags with four more game announcements to follow:
November 10th vs Arizona State
November 18th at San Diego State
November 27th-November 29th at the Battle 4 Atlantis (Arizona, Davidson, Indiana, Louisville, Oklahoma, Providence, and West Virginia)
December 7th vs Kentucky (in Climate Pledge Arena)
December 14th vs UConn (in Madison Square Garden)
December 18th vs Nicholls State
December 28th vs UCLA (in Intuit Dome)
