A practice test for the Zags before the gauntlet of a non-conference schedule and it’s all done for a good cause.
This West Coast Conference and now Big Ten Conference matchup will not count towards each program’s record but it will be a tune-up before the real thing and done for a good cause.
Gonzaga and USC are joining the already stacked list of charity exhibitions. The matchup will take place in beautiful Palm Springs on the weekend of October 26th-27th at the Acrisure Arena. The last time these two schools played each other was just last season when the Zags beat the Trojans in the Legends of Basketball Las Vegas Invitational, 89-76.
It will be a good practice test for Gonzaga against Eric Musselman in his first season with the Trojans since leaving Arkansas. The Zags need this type of challenge to gauge where the team is at before they start the gauntlet that is their non-conference schedule.
